The evening concluding the first conference day of the World VR Forum’s Annual Summit was celebrated with a Valaisan Cocktail sponsored by Business Valais – the cantonal welcome gateway to the heart of the cantonal administration which brings together all the economic development partners of Valais, enhancing the ethnic Swiss flavour of the Summit at Le Regent Congress Center, in Crans-Montana, on Thursday, 11 May, 2017.
Business Valais incorporates a network of partners and groups: (EDO) The Department of the Economy, Energy and Spatial Development via its Economic Development Office, Cimark SA, (CCF SA) Centre de Cautionnement et de Financement, (ARVR) Antenne Régions Valais Romand and (RWO) Regions – und Wirtschaftszentrum Oberwallis AG all in one entity. These partners are experts in assisting and coaching companies, raising finance, technology transfer, training, networking and many other services.
As Business Valais provides services for Swiss companies and entrepreneurs with all matters related to the public sector and the private economy, such as coaching, technology transfer, raising finance and networking, they happily collaborated with WVRF for this particular occasion, fully financing the notable variety of local finger foods, cocktails and wine at the Valaisan Cocktail, soothing the eclectic taste buds of the WVRF’s Annual Summit’s speakers, exhibitors and volunteers who came to Crans-Montana from all corners of the world.
Wined and dined with Swiss national treats, the Summit’s participants rubbed shoulders and shook hands with other pioneers of the VR and AR industries. One of the highlights of the evening was Samuel Pott – a Parisian Visual Artist and Creative Technologist at Nightshift, who created detailed two-minute sketches, surprising the unsuspecting conversationalists with realistically drawn black and white portraits of them and of casual dining scenes which they happened to take part in.
